Community Care Options $26,600.00 $26,600.00 58 - Berwyn, Cicero, Oak Park, River Forest, Upper Stickney Townships YOUTH IN CRISIS, INC. Educational Support Services FCS services include comprehensive community based youth services, unified delinquency intervention services, mentoring, justice system diversion program. This provider offers communication, decision-making and conflict resolution skills training to youth at risk of chronic truancy, suspensions and school dropout.
FAMILY SERVICE & MENTAL HEALTH CENTER OF CICERO Parent Support Program Parent Training Classes-a series of 8 educational sessions for parents designed to promote parental involvement in their child's education. Family Advocate Services - one-on-one supportive sessions between a counselor and family to assist families in improving their chid's educational performance.
THE CHILDREN'S CENTER OF CICERO/BERWYN Prevention: Teen Pregnancy & Child Abuse & Neglect (High School) The Children's Center supports the pregnant students of Morton East High School via supplemental education during adaptive physical education classes. The educational curriculum includes: labor, delivery, nutrition, infant care, fetus development, pregnancy health care, etc. Information regarding community services, i.e., WIC, Child Support, Day Care Action Council, is shared and discussed during school hours and during home visits. Home visits allow the opportunity to support high school graduation, and facilitate homebound teachers during maternity leave, while giving individual attention to unique needs.
COMMUNITY CARE OPTIONS Case Management/ Safe Schools Services include intensive outreach and case management, crisis, intervention, case consultation with other providers; psychiatric evaluations and medication monitoring, peer mentoring and advocacy through family resource developers. School age children between the ages 5-13 years who are exhibiting social, emotional and/or behavioral problems that negatively impact on their school performance and/or attendance, along with their parents are linked to other services as needs are identified, including parent training and substance abuse treatment.
