Metropolitan Family Serv SW $12,671.00 $31,600.00 56 - Calumet, Lemont, Orland, Palos, Lower Stickney, Worth Townships YMCA OF METRO CHICAGO SOUTHWEST/ YMCA NETWORK FOR COUNSELING AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT Mental Health Substance Abuse Counseling Y.M.C.A. will provide mental health counseling to youth ages 8 and above and their families, when the identified outh is at risk of school truancy, suspension and/or expulsion.

Substance abuse counseling will also be provided to youth when drugs or alcohol are directly interfering with school attendance and academic success.

All services will promote positive behavior and academic engagement throug parent involvement and the coordination and collaboration of communityh, child welfare services, other state agencies and educational services.

The primary school distric of focus will be Community High School, District 218, encompassing Eisenhower (Blue Island) Shepard (Palos Heights), Richards (Oak Lawn) and Aspen (Robbins).

METROPOLITAN FAMILY SERVICES SW Partner Advocates for School Success (PASS) PASS will provide educational support services to families of children wo are at risk of  school failure because of truancy, threatened suspension or expulsion due to behavior problems or family problems that interfere with a child succeeding in school.

Services will include supportive case management, advocacy, information and linkage with needed resources, wraparound services and consultation with school staff.

All support services will promote positive behavior and academic engagement through parental involvement and close collaboration with the schools, and other agencies that are working with the family (e.g child welfare, state agencies,mental health).

 Privamary collaboration will be with School Districts #130 and 132.
