What Is Local Area Network (LAN) 29?

Illinois is divided into 62 local area networks. LAN 29 serves families in Rock Island and Mercer Counties. LAN uses existing community resources and natural support networks to strengthen families. You become involved by becoming a member, joining a workgroup, serving as a board member, or just volunteering at a community agency.

LAN 29 Service Philosophy...

Is to build on families' strengths, to use existing community resources and natural support networks to meet families needs.  To partner with individuals and families in developing solutions to live changes.  To respond as early as possible to prevent family crisis.  To reinvest savings back into the community. To find solutions for services missing from our community.

Why Should You Get Involved?
  • To foster community-wide ownership for the well-being of families
  • Diverse perspectives and strengths provide a broader array of resources
  • Families become stronger, and our community grows

LAN 29 Membership Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month.  The Membership Meetings are held at the Rock Island Public Library from 10am until 12pm.  Membership dues are $5 per individual or $25 per organization and the membership is good for one year.  Click here for our Membership Application.

If you have any questions please contact Debra Govain, LAN 29 Administrative Assistant, at 309-793-5120.
