Services provided at: Community locations; including Latino Youth, Inc. the Hispanic Outreach Center of LCFS, libraries, and other locations, LCFS River Forest office, and homes of prospective adoptive parents. Target population: Children of Hispanic heritage in need of adoptive homes

Objectives of all programs relate to the reduction of child abuse and neglect by educating parents and guardians about non-violent methods of discipline, enhancing parenting skills and reducing isolation especially among immigrant parents. Parenting classes run 15 weeks and parents must attend 90% of the classes to obtain a certificate of completion. Transportation and childcare is provided on an as needed basis.

Pilsen YMCA LAN's Family Nights Program - The Pilsen YMCA brings family workshops addressing the quality time with each other, cultural field trips, family/individual counseling as well as recreational/physical activities. We are adding an adult learning component where parents can develop the English language and computer skills, The importance for families to feel self empowered and able to assist their children with the scholastic task from school.
