The program intends to continue to provide
home-based services aimed at supporting families of children, both wards of
the state and community youth, who have been targeted for school performance
issues. |

METROPOLITAN FAMILY SERVICES |
Making the Grade |
Metropolitan Family Services will provide
services focusing on the reduction of suspensions, expulsions and truancy of
children in educational settings.
The services will include support and
educational groups for parents and children and individual/family counseling
when appropriate. "I Can Problem Solve" a nationally acclaim curricula will
be used.
The services will be delivered through
parent and children support and educational groups, case management and
individual/family counseling sessions.
The emphasis will be on providing
knowledge, skills and ability to problem solve to help families and their
children reduce truancy, suspensions and expulsions.
