About the Illinois Family Partnership Network (IFPN)

The Illinois Family Partnership Network (IFPN) has worked since 1996 to strengthen and support parents in their efforts to improve community-based resources and services for children, youth, and families. IFPN is building an informal statewide network of all families receiving support and/or services from federal, state, or local community organizations. IFPN also works to involve parents in the planning, implementing, and monitoring of services through participation in local and statewide governing boards. IFPN members provide information for NPIN Illinois.

Our Vision

  • Families realize and use their own power.
  • Families' voices are heard in policy and program design.
  • Services are more responsive and effective as a result of parent/family input.
  • Families find opportunities in their own communities to take leadership.
  • Every parent who needs help knows how to find and ask for assistance.

Our Mission

To increase family leadership for better programs and policies throughout Illinois.
